Doctrines that Delight: A journey through the New Hampshire Confession

The 1853 New Hampshire Confession is a short summary of the Bible’s most essential teachings. But, don’t confuse its brevity for insignificance. In its eighteen articles are riches to be treasured, wisdom to be contemplated, and vistas to be explored. This spring semester in TRI we will take a guided tour through the New Hampshire Confession so that we can more deeply appreciate our common confession. The goal for this class will be three-fold. First, we’ll attempt to bolster our biblical literacy as we learn to trust more fully in God's word. Second, we’ll attempt to root ourselves in the history of the Christian theological tradition so we’re inspired by the hope of what God will surely do. And third, we’ll attempt to deepen our theological formation becoming the kinds of people who live out of the love God has demonstrated for us in the message of Scripture.
